COURSE CONTENT
This seminar and workshop treats our perceptions as a tool kit to explore fresh ways of processing the commonplace to reveal new value.
The day comprises 4 sections
- 20 Fresh Perceptions; examining products and concepts from architecture, design, advertising and business. What makes them innovative? What underlying patterns exist that we can learn from?
- Using absurdity and lateral thinking to invent new uses for common place things.
- Using transformational processes, diagramming and 3D play-models to provoke the visual, tactile, spatial and associational imagination.
- Introducing techniques to help you generate and visualize ideas from existing materials to produce new value.
